About this experience
Laugarás Lagoon is the Golden Circle’s newest attraction, Iceland´s most popular tourism route, which includes Geysir, Gullfoss, and Þingvellir National Park. Nestled among the mountains and overlooking the Hvítá River, the exquisite two -story lagoon envelopes guests in its warm geothermal water, perfectly balanced with the landscape. During the visit guests can also plunge into a cold pool or spend some time in one of our two elegant saunas.
Guests can cap off their day dining at Ylja Restaurant, our in-house eatery led by renowned Icelandic chef Gísli Matt. This seasonal menu features ingredients sourced from local farms, fisheries, and greenhouses.
A visit to the lagoon is ideal for groups of friends, couples, families, and even solo travelers looking to enjoy a scenic slice of Iceland just minutes from the Golden Circle.
Ösp admission includes a two-course day menu meal at Ylja, our signature restaurant. Final optional slot for dining is at 16:30. We will make a table reservation 2 hours after the booked lagoon entry. Please contact us directly for alternative options or preferred time for dining.

Laugarás Lagoon is wheelchair accessible, featuring private changing rooms for your comfort and convenience.
Children from the age of 8 are welcome to visit our lagoon. However, children aged 7 and younger are not allowed in the lagoon. All ages are welcome to dine at Ylja Restaurant.
Cancellation for this tour
Free cancellation until 24 hours before departure; no refund after that. If the operator cancels for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a new date.

Unbelievable place. Cheaper than the other major lagoons. What I liked about this place was that it was tucked away in the golden circle. It was not over crowded. And the facilities were lush. The Lagoon itself was so nice. Loved the drinks and I loved the sauna and Steam rooms. The restaurant was a major hit and very generous portions.

I loved Laugaras Lagoon, especially after having been to the Blue Lagoon on a previous trip to Iceland. It was so peaceful and uncrowded and totally relaxing. I loved the way it blended into the setting, and it was nice to see trees around it! One of the employees at the check-in desk explained that his family has been there for generations and is responsible for having planted a large number of the trees in the area. The water temperature was perfect and I especially enjoyed the quiet area. We had a 5:00 entry, and then 6:30 dinner reservation which was just right. The food was very good. I would definitely recommend this if you have time to go somewhere further from the airport area.

Nestled in the southern part of the country, this natural gem combines warm, soothing waters with breathtaking surroundings. 🙂👍 After soaking in the lagoon’s inviting warmth, the perfect way to end the day is with a delicious Icelandic meal at the lagoon’s Ylja restaurant ... that was just superb, bursting with flavors & ingenuity!

Amazing experience at the lagoon! We opted for just the package with entrance and loved it. We came in the early morning and it was so empty and then towards the evening more people started coming. Highly would recommend!
