Would this be cheaper direct? No — we sell at Icelandic Roamers's own price and take our commission from them, not from you. What you get here is one checkout across operators, one confirmation, and one place to change or cancel it. If you ever find it cheaper on their own site, tell us and we will match it or explain why we cannot.

About this experience
Black, white and grey, occasionally spiced up with all shades of bluish green? Iceland shows its true colors to those who visit it... in the summer. With us, you'll see the side of Iceland that differs from common preconceived notions about the Land of Fire and Ice. Don’t hesitate to book your holidays somewhere between June and September to visit the Highlands - only with Icelandic Roamers.
Let's jump on board our Super Jeep and traverse the bumpiest paths to take you to Icelandic Highlands. First astonishing pictures will be painted by the Hjálparfoss waterfall, near one of the most active Icelandic stratovolcanoes called Hekla. Never enough of watching endless cascades of running water? Then it's time for a bigger player, the third largest waterfall in Iceland, named Háifoss. From the viewing spot nearby you’ll also have the chance to spot it together with Granni Waterfall and capture both waterfalls in a single frame. We'll also catch a glimpse of Sigöldufoss waterfall, located in the canyon often called Valley of Tears. The Highlands’ secret gorge is a real treat for photographers who marvel at the striking turquoise color of the water and the contrasting landscapes on both sides of the canyon.
Reaching the mountains we’ll also pass by volcanic crater Bláhylur, filled with gorgeous blue water. Another picture perfect opportunity alert. Last but not least, time for our ultimate destination, the magnificent Landmannalaugar. Apart from epic hikes along the trails surrounded by rainbow-colored mountains, 'People's Pools' offer a geothermal oasis with hot springs. To jump into and recharge batteries before the ride back... sounds like a perfect plan.
Many wild rivers will challenge our unbeatable vehicle and the rough, post-volcanic terrains contrasting with the rich colors of the hills will make you gasp at the view of such miracles of nature, right at your fingertips. Total wilderness, black sand, volcanic craters - it all makes the raw beauty of Iceland's nature awe-inspiring and unforgettable.
The memories of this amazing adventure will stay with you forever in the form of stunning photos taken by our professional guide-photographer. You get a package of 15 pictures: portraits, landscapes and group photos, included in the price of the trip. We bet this tour will only whet your appetite for more icelanding adventures. The attractions provided by The Land of Fire and Ice are not to be found elsewhere.

Cancellation for this tour
Free cancellation until 2 days before departure; no refund after that. If the operator cancels for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a new date.
If the weather cancels this tour
Iceland's weather is real. What usually stops this one is closed F-roads or a highland storm — decided by the Road Administration and the driver. Here is exactly what happens to your booking.
- 1Icelandic Roamers decides, and tells us. Operators cancel when it is unsafe or pointless, and we back that call every time — we do not ask them to run anyway.
- 2We contact you by email, and by phone if your tour is the same or next day. You choose: another date if there is one you can make, or a full refund. There is no fee and nothing to argue.
- 3The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually visible within a few working days. If this tour was one of several in your booking, the others are untouched.
What you do not get is the day back. If this is the only free day in your plan, put a spare day next to it — the planner leaves days free with the rest-day option. And if you want out because the forecast looks bad, that is your own cancellation: free until 2 days before departure, the operator's policy after that.
Questions on the day: [email protected] · +354 497 1373. How cancellations work in Iceland →
Sold out on your date?
Seats come back — a cancellation, or the operator adding a vehicle. Tell us the date and we will check once a day and email you if one opens. One email, then we delete the address; nothing else is ever sent to it.
Who this is not for
- Not a good fit if you want a relaxed day: 11 hours is a long time on the road, most of it spent getting there and back.
- Priced per vehicle, so it is poor value for one or two people and good value for four or more sharing.
Read off the operator's own conditions. If none of it applies to you, this is a good one.
Why we list it
Icelandic Roamers is one of 154 operators we work with — chosen for reliability, honest descriptions and how they treat guests when weather changes plans. We don't list everything; we list what we'd book ourselves. The six checks every operator passes →
