Our Snæfellsnes Peninsula private tour allows you to experience the beautiful region of western Iceland in a private vehicle with your own driver-guide. The tour starts with a pickup at your accommodation in the greater metropolitan area of Reykjavik. From there we head west towards the Snæfellsnes Peninsula which is renowned for it’s astonishing landscape.

Snæfellsnes national park

The Snæfellsnes national park is home to the seal colony, shark museum and the charming village of Stykkishólmur. On the Snæfellsnes Peninsula you can experience the vast nature of Iceland including Snæfellsjökull glacier, black sandy beaches, mountains and volcanic craters and much more.

Lóndrangar basalt cliffs

Lóndrangar are basalt columns from an ancient crater that have been eroded to their current form by the ocean.

Kirkjufell mountain

Kirkjufell is a cone shaped mountain and probably the most photographed one in Iceland. The mountain towers some 463 meters (1,519 ft.) above sea level and has been described as one of Iceland’s most beautiful mountains.

Ölkelda mineral spring

Ölkelda is a small town in the countryside of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Nearby you can find a natural mineral spring with carbonated water. It has been said that carbonated water has some healing properties so worry not and have a sip.

Arnarstapi and Hellnar rock formations

Arnarstapi and Hellnar are scenic rock formations and also home to the giant statue of the viking Bardur.

    My first trip to Iceland, I rented a car thinking I could do my first solo trip all on my own. However the first night there we got way more snow than I’ve ever seen in North Carolina and I was afraid to try to drive alone, especially in regions I wasn’t familiar with. Fortunately, Iceland Luxury Tours were able to pick me up last minute. The owner went out of his way to accommodate me and I cannot thank him enough. He was so polite, knowledgeable, and fun to be around it felt as if I spent the day with old time friends. They have all the proper equipment to trek through the terrains of Iceland regardless of the weather. My first day in Iceland, on my first solo trip ever, was literally saved by them and I could not recommend this company enough!

    My wife and I spent 5 days touring Southern Iceland and staying at a different luxurious hotel every evening. We had an excellent 4WD Off-road vehicle and a wonderful guide Ivar Palsson. Ivar knew all the history of the different places and due to his history of hiking glaciers was also our personal guide to take my wife and I on the glacier. I have no hesitation to recommend Iceland Luxury Tours an Ivar if you want a hassle free luxury adventure 😊
