All of the above is computed from Húsavík Whale Museum's own 1 product records, not from a questionnaire. Fleet size and typical group sizes are the figures a comparison table usually shows; Bókun does not carry them, so we would be guessing, and we would rather leave a gap than fill it in.
From the operator's own Bókun vendor record. The year is when the company's registration number was issued, which is the closest thing to a founding date that can be checked at skatturinn.is; the brand may be older or younger than the company. Their own site: whalemuseum.is — same price there as here.

A really awesome, fascinating and informative museum - perfect to visit before a whale watching tour. You can easily spend two or more hours here: a collection of impressive whale skeltetons (including a blue whale), a lot of information about whales and some interesting videofilms.

We arrived 30 minutes before closing. Not enough time to truly learn about the whaling business that was so vital to the people's survival here. There are a couple videos showing the magnificent creatures in one, and the unabashed processing (ie slaughtering) in the other. It's not for the squeamish. The massive skeletons from wash-up whales (not hunted), are impressive.

A nice museum to learn more about these beautiful creatures 🐳! Short and sweet but has many real skeletons of whales including a blue whale which is amazing! Just to see the scale!

Truly a great museum. Despite its small size, we spent two hours in here - the first time I have actually read all the information on display in a museum! There are several sections, covering the evolution of cetaceans, the history of whales in Iceland, and plenty of other interesting information. There are also full sized skeletons of various whale species on display, ethically collected and preserved. Price was around £15 per person, but I would recommend it - worth the money!
