About this experience

Your day begins with a convenient pick-up in central Reykjavík, followed by a scenic drive to the South where the adventure kicks off with an exciting river rafting experience on the Hvítá River. This fun and accessible activity is led by expert guides and is suitable for both beginners and those with prior rafting experience.

After rafting, enjoy delicious lunch at the river base before heading back toward Reykjavík via the Golden Circle route. Along the way, we’ll stop to explore Iceland’s most iconic landmarks:

Geysir – home to the original erupting hot spring

Gullfoss – the powerful and breathtaking “Golden Falls”

Þingvellir National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the tectonic plates meet and Iceland’s first parliament was established

What you do not get is the day back. If this is the only free day in your plan, put a spare day next to it — the planner leaves days free with the rest-day option. And if you want out because the forecast looks bad, that is your own cancellation: free until 1 day before departure, the operator's policy after that.

    My mother-in-law and I were trying on hats and considering a purchase when a woman approached her and said, “Don’t touch those, they’re expensive and you’re not going to purchase.” The comment was unprovoked, disrespectful, and humiliating. Furthermore, a simple, “sorry you cannot try this on”, would’ve been fine, but this lady decided to act on prejudice. We were treated as though we didn’t belong or couldn’t afford the merchandise. This behavior was unacceptable and made us feel unwelcome. Because of this experience, we left without buying anything and will not be returning. I recommend you consider not shopping her as well to avoid experiencing this.
