Dynjandi Waterfall, Fishing Village, and Bird Sanctuary — Valkyrie Tours

Would this be cheaper direct? No — we sell at Valkyrie Tours's own price and take our commission from them, not from you. What you get here is one checkout across operators, one confirmation, and one place to change or cancel it. If you ever find it cheaper on their own site, tell us and we will match it or explain why we cannot.

About this experience

Join us for an unforgettable day in the Westfjords where nature and culture meet. We’ll take you to Dynjandi, the most impressive waterfall in the region, where you can feel the power of Iceland’s untouched beauty. From there we’ll explore a charming fishing village and get a glimpse of local life far from the tourist crowds. Along the way, we’ll stop at a peaceful bird sanctuary where Arctic terns, eiders, and other seabirds nest in the summer. With small groups and a flexible pace, this tour gives you the best mix of stunning scenery, wildlife, and authentic Westfjords charm.

I had a great time with Valkyrie! Our guide, Jake, was very knowledgeable, and we spent half the tour laughing. I would highly recommend the trip to Dynjandi. The company was also very responsive and helpful with my questions beforehand.

We did a private tour of Isafjordur and Westfjords with this group and they were fantastic. Our guide, Flor, was amazing. Super friendly and great to talk with about Iceland and all other subjects. Whether on a private tour or large group, I think you’ll be in good hands.

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Valkyrie Tours in Iceland this summer! I took several day tours with them, and every single one was incredible. The guides, Jake and Anna, were outstanding—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the beauty of Iceland. The tours were well-organized, and the itinerary covered breathtaking landscapes and hidden gems that I wouldn’t have found on my own. I can’t recommend Valkyrie Tours enough if you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure in Iceland. Thank you, Jake and Anna, for making my trip so special!

We did a private tour of Isafjordur and Dynjandi today with Anna, it was amazing! Anna was waiting for us at the cruise port, and she knew the best time to take us to the waterfall when it was the least crowded, She waited for an hour while we explored the waterfall at our own pace. She also took us to a charming museum because the Tesla car could take us where larger tour buses could not. We also visited the quaint town Flateyri at our leisure. Lastly, Anna took us to a grocery store where she knew we could find chocolate for the cheapest prices in Iceland! We loved that Anna is a native Icelander and shared many insights of local customs and culture with us. Her love for Iceland made the tour a highlight of our trip!
