Aurora Farm Hotel is a newly upgraded boutique hotel set on one of North Iceland’s oldest geothermal farmsteads, in the peaceful village of Laugar. Rooted in history and renewed with contemporary comfort, the hotel offers guests an immersive stay surrounded by nature, warmth, and understated luxury.

At the heart of the property is our outdoor geothermal spa, exclusively for hotel guests. Fed by natural hot water from the land itself, it features two natural hot springs, a cold plunge, and a sauna, creating a deeply restorative experience under the long light of the Icelandic summer and, late in the season, the northern lights.

Dinner is served at Þorgrímur, our wood-fired restaurant led by renowned Icelandic chef Völundur Snær Völundarson and named after his ancestor who lived on this land. Each evening’s menu offers a meat and a fish main course, a vegetable dish, and wood-fired pizzas, cooked with ingredients from neighbouring farmers and fishermen, and every dish comes with dessert. The restaurant is one of the most sought-after tables in the region and seating is limited, so we recommend booking dinner together with the room.
