About this experience

Discover one of icelands most charming valleys by e-bike. We start with a short tour of Dalvík, getting to know the town and the bikes. Then we make our way to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Svarfaðadal, Eyjafjörð and Hrísey. After enjoying the view we follow the peacefull river into the valley rolling past beautiful farmland and nature making our way past the nature reserve and bird sanctuary. Midvalley we cross the river on a suspension bridge to a small forest with fun trails. Before heading back we visit the charming rural country shop Vellir. Famous for their selfmade delicacys.

For this tour absolutely no mountainbiking experience is needed. However for experienced riders it's easy to add some fun trails.

We recommend wind and waterproof hiking clothes and hiking boots or rugged training shoes.
Expect getting wet and muddy
We provide helmet, gloves and jerseys to protect your clothes.

You can change your clothes and keep them in a locker during the tour.

Cancellation for this tour

  2. 2We contact you by email, and by phone if your tour is the same or next day. You choose: another date if there is one you can make, or a full refund. There is no fee and nothing to argue.
  3. 3The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually visible within a few working days. If this tour was one of several in your booking, the others are untouched.

What you do not get is the day back. If this is the only free day in your plan, put a spare day next to it — the planner leaves days free with the rest-day option. And if you want out because the forecast looks bad, that is your own cancellation: free until the cutoff shown above, the operator's policy after that.

    What an amazing experience! Riding the trails on the mountainsides around Dalvík was incredibly exciting, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Being surrounded by mountains in every direction made the ride even more special. A truly unforgettable adventure that I would highly recommend.

    What fantastic tour! We are new to Ebike mountain biking and it was great! Thor took us along gravel and grassy trails along the river and across a small suspension bridge. Midway we stopped at Vellir Dalvik, an organic food shop and picked some homemade cheeses. Our tour ended with a picnic tasting Icelandic foods and a ride in the harbor area of town.

    Another great way to explore Island is to take an e-bike ride with Thor at Northtrails out of Dalvik. We had a nice little stop at local store for fresh berries and mouth watering cheese. Then Thor provided local tastings at the end of the ride. I highly recommend this adventure.

    Excellent riding tour through trails around the town. Trip was tailored to our riding experience. We stopped by a local country store and tried jams. The guide als had a lunch prepared for us to try local cured ham, dried fish and local breads at a stop in the woods. Was a lot of fun. Would do this again if in the area.
