Private tour South Coast and Waterfalls — Arctic Yeti Ehf

Would this be cheaper direct? No — we sell at Arctic Yeti Ehf's own price and take our commission from them, not from you. What you get here is one checkout across operators, one confirmation, and one place to change or cancel it. If you ever find it cheaper on their own site, tell us and we will match it or explain why we cannot.

About this experience

From Reykjavik we will make our way towards the cliffs of southern Iceland. Our first stop will be at Seljalandfoss, the famous waterfall that travelers can walk behind, and its impressive neighbor, Gljúfrabúi, or the hidden waterfall, that does not often appear in guidebooks. As we travel along the coast we will pass Eyjafjallajökull, the volcano that caused chaos in European air traffic in 2010.

We will continue our southern route to Skógafoss, a waterfall that measures 60 meters high and 25 meters wide and is one of the biggest in Iceland. Here we will have the chance to enjoy the surrounding area and climb to the waterfall's highest point. Our next stop will be in Reynisfjara, a black-sand beach that boasts impressive basaltic rock formations and views of the famous trolls that, according to legend, were petrified when caught in the sea at sunrise.

Dyrhólaey will be our final stop of the day, and from this lookout point high above the sea we will observe interesting lava formations as well as large puffin colonies that nest here in the summer months (mid-June to mid-August).

This is a unique day tour to several spectacular sites along Iceland´s South Coast. You don't want to miss it.

Tour guided in English and Spanish (español) in small groups with stops at Seljalandsfoss, Gljúfrabúi, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara and Dyrhólaey.

Description from the operator, Arctic Yeti Ehf. Prices and availability in the booking panel are live.

Cancellation for this tour

Free cancellation until 365 days before departure, then 30% of the price within 7 days, rising to 50% within 4 days. If the operator cancels for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a new date.

If the weather cancels this tour

Iceland's weather is real. What usually stops this one is a forecast the operator judges unsafe. Here is exactly what happens to your booking.

  1. 1Arctic Yeti Ehf decides, and tells us. Operators cancel when it is unsafe or pointless, and we back that call every time — we do not ask them to run anyway.
  2. 2We contact you by email, and by phone if your tour is the same or next day. You choose: another date if there is one you can make, or a full refund. There is no fee and nothing to argue.
  3. 3The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually visible within a few working days. If this tour was one of several in your booking, the others are untouched.

What you do not get is the day back. If this is the only free day in your plan, put a spare day next to it — the planner leaves days free with the rest-day option. And if you want out because the forecast looks bad, that is your own cancellation: free until 365 days before departure, the operator's policy after that.

Questions on the day: [email protected] · +354 497 1373. How cancellations work in Iceland →

Sold out on your date?

Seats come back — a cancellation, or the operator adding a vehicle. Tell us the date and we will check once a day and email you if one opens. One email, then we delete the address; nothing else is ever sent to it.

Who this is not for

  • Not a good fit if you want a relaxed day: 11 hours is a long time on the road, most of it spent getting there and back.
  • Not for last-minute planners — free cancellation ends 365 days before, longer than most tours here.

Read off the operator's own conditions. If none of it applies to you, this is a good one.

Why we list it

Arctic Yeti Ehf is one of 154 operators we work with — chosen for reliability, honest descriptions and how they treat guests when weather changes plans. We don't list everything; we list what we'd book ourselves. The six checks every operator passes →

It was our pleasure to have a tour with tour provider Arctic Yeti. Absolutely great tour to Landmannalaugar, highly recommend! Amazing, very positive, friendly and attentive to every person in the group guide Javier! The contact person on the telephone was also very helpful.

I have had consistently excellent experiences with this company, both professionally and on a personal level. Everyone I have dealt with has been kind, helpful, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. They have also shown me genuine kindness beyond what I would normally expect, which I greatly appreciate. From a professional perspective, everything has always worked smoothly, and they are dependable and pleasant to deal with. From my own personal experience, I can also say that they treat people with consideration and are willing to help when it matters. A very positive experience overall, and a company I am happy to recommend.
