It was a very long day, but his engaging commentary and great sense of humor made the time fly by. He confidently navigated some truly adventurous conditions, including river crossings and driving through snow, all while making us feel safe and comfortable. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories about Icelandic history, geology, and culture that made every stop even more meaningful. The Lofthellir ice cave tour was exceptional and includes a hike across a lava field before going into the cave. Our guide Anton is local and was incredibly knowledgeable about the geology and formations as well as the ecosystem. This is one of my favorite things I’ve done in Iceland.
