Our clothes are selected to protect you from the wind, cold, and rain as you explore and enjoy Iceland.

The children's coat is a good choice from September - March.


The parka is made for extreme conditions and is;

Or you can come to our store, we're open from 10 am - 6 pm every day.

How this works is easy.

  1. Select how many people you want to order for.
  2. Select the date you want to start the rental.
  3. Select how many days you want to rent the items.
  4. Choose if you want delivery and return service. (we deliver anywhere within the capital area.)
    1. Tell us the name and address of the hotel.
    2. Tell us the time you'd like us to deliver and pick up the items.
    3. If Delivery and pick up service isn't chosen, we'll assume you'll come to the store. You can come any time between 10 am - 6 pm.
  5. Answer the questions so we can find your appropriate size. 
    1. You can also add a comment if there is a particular measurement you're worried about.
  6. Come collect the clothes in the store or find them in your lobby.

Good to know

The children's parka is very warm so you won't need as many layers as you would if you were wearing a shell for example. However, it's always good to be prepared. so here are a few examples of what you should bring yourself.

You can come to our store and collect the items from 10 am - 6 pm every day.

If there are any issues you can always contact us at icelandcover@icelandcover.com and we'll work with you to figure out a solution.

Sadly we can not guarantee the color of the parka or boots but you can put in a request during the process and we'll try our very best.

Cancellation for this tour

Free cancellation until 24 hours before departure; no refund after that. If the operator cancels for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a new date.

Sold out on your date?

Seats come back — a cancellation, or the operator adding a vehicle. Tell us the date and we will check once a day and email you if one opens. One email, then we delete the address; nothing else is ever sent to it.

Who this is not for

  • Not a good fit if you want a relaxed day: 1 day is a long time on the road, most of it spent getting there and back.

    I can't thank them enough. The airline lost my luggage upon arrival, and this shop was recommended to me. It was a lifesaver! Located right in downtown Reykjavik, the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. I was able to rent a perfect-fitting parka that allowed me to enjoy my trip trouble-free. They have everything at very modest prices (boots, pants, gloves...), though I only needed the coat. Returns were super quick and easy. Highly recommended!

    I found iceland cover online before our iceland trip in February. Coming from Texas we had no cold weather gear and the thought of buying and packing it was ridiculous.     I was skeptical about renting outdoor gear before coming to Iceland but I’m an Iceland Cover super fan now. I put Iceland Cover’s gear to the absolute test during a brutal winter storm, and I honestly couldn’t be more impressed. I was out in full kit — jacket, pants, boots, beanie, neck gaiter, crampons — and not once did I feel the cold creeping in or the wet seeping through. The jacket was the real standout. Wind was howling, snow was driving sideways, and I stayed completely insulated and dry. The fit was comfortable enough that I could move freely without feeling like I was wrapped in a sleeping bag. The pants complemented it perfectly. They sealed everything together like they were made to work as a system (because they were). And the boots? My feet were the last thing on my mind out there, which is exactly what you want. Warm, waterproof, and grippy on slick surfaces — I didn’t slip, I didn’t soak through, and I didn’t suffer.
