Get ready for an amazing day tour to Iceland's beautiful South Coast. We'll take you on a journey through stunning landscapes, where you'll see incredible waterfalls, black sand beaches, and even a glacier. All this in a comfortable small group setting, so you get a more personal experience.
Our adventure starts with a scenic drive from Reykjavik, heading towards the south.
1. Hvolsvöllur
We'll make a short stop in the charming village of Hvolsvöllur. This is a chance for a quick break and to enjoy the scenery as we continue our journey.
2. Skógafoss Waterfall
Prepare to be amazed by the powerful Skógafoss. This huge waterfall plunges down 60 meters, creating a truly impressive sight. You'll have time to take photos, walk around, and feel the spray of the water. Our guide will tell you some interesting facts about this beautiful place.
3. Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Next, we'll visit the famous Reynisfjara black sand beach. You'll be stunned by the unique black sand, the dramatic basalt columns, and the powerful waves crashing on the shore. Enjoy some free time to explore this otherworldly landscape and take some fantastic pictures.
4. Vík í Mýrdal Village
We'll then head to the charming village of Vík í Mýrdal. Here, you'll have a break to relax, grab a bite to eat (not included in the price), and explore this picturesque village nestled amidst the stunning scenery. You'll also get to enjoy the views and take some more photos.
5. Sólheimajökull Glacier:
Get a close-up look at the impressive Sólheimajökull glacier. This massive tongue of ice stretches down from the larger Mýrdalsjökull glacier. You'll have a chance to take photos and admire the incredible glacial landscape. Please note that glacier hikes are not included in this tour.
6. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall:

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights, even though we had 2 goes at it! Each trip took us to different places, and although the forecast was apparently very good on the second attempt, we still didn’t see any, despite the enthusiasm and knowledge of both guides. Laura was the perfect guide, with her knowledge and enthusiasm. The hot chocolate drink and pastries were very welcome, and the dark skies on the second night were quite spectacular on their own!
