About Hvítá Trucks by Ourhotels Borgarfjörður West Iceland
Hvítá Trucks by Ourhotels is a one-of-a-kind micro-hotel on the grounds of The Hvítá Inn in Borgarfjörður, West Iceland, about 90 minutes' drive from Reykjavík.
Its 6 rooms are built inside restored army trucks. Each has a private bathroom with shower, heating, free Wi-Fi, and bed linen and towels provided. Every room carries a unique Icelandic saying with a short explanation of its meaning.
Breakfast is included (07:00-09:00) and served next door at The Hvítá Inn, where the restaurant and bar serve dinner 18:00-22:00. Free parking on site. A shared guest kitchen is available to guests of the trucks and The Hvítá Inn.
The heated outdoor pool on the grounds is open all year. There is no lifeguard, so guests swim at their own risk, and because the rooms are close by we ask everyone to be considerate about noise.
Check-in from 15:00 with self check-in, check-out by 11:00.
Best for: curious travellers, couples and self-drive guests looking for something different in West Iceland.
