Lambalækur Guesthouse

House built as a postmans house by Galtarholt in 1894. Now moved, renovated and repositioned and now goes under the name Lambalækur. This house has been renovated in as original style as was possible. That means also that the walls are not thick, you can hear the floorboard creaking and also at times the silence is almost overwhelming. Be prepared to walk back into 1895.

Lambalækur has 5 bedrooms, downstairs you will find 1 trpl room and 1 room with 1.40 bed suitable as a room for a sgl person or a couple. Both these rooms have private facilities. When entering the house you walk into a corridor that leads you into a kitchen and sitting room as well as these two rooms downstairs. Steep stairs lead you to a triple room and two twin rooms that all share bathroom facilities upstairs. The stairs are old and steep and the bathroom upstairs is small with a shower.

Breakfast is a self service breakfast, basic breakfast meal to be found in fridge, on tables and coffee/tea in the windowsill.

Good wifi to be found in all rooms and living room/kitchen.

Lambalækur is nicely located for viewing the northern lights in winter time or visiting Snæfellsnes area all year around.
