About this experience
Snæfellsnes Peninsula (Spanish Language): Small Group Adventure from Reykjavik
Come join us for a fantastic day trip to the beautiful Snæfellsnes Peninsula. We call it "Iceland in Miniature" because it has everything: lava fields, mountains, black sand beaches, and glaciers. This tour is led entirely in Spanish, so you can enjoy it in your own language. We'll travel in a small, friendly group.
Here's what we'll see:
- Berserkjahraun Lava Fields: Amazing rocks from an old volcano. It's like walking on another planet.
- Mt. Kirkjufell & Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfalls: The most famous mountain in Iceland. Perfect for photos.
- Snæfellsjökull National Park: We'll see a big glacier that was even in a famous book.
- Djúpalónssandur Beach: A black sand beach with old ship pieces. It's really cool.
- Lóndrangar Basalt Cliffs: Big rock towers by the sea, home to lots of birds.
- Arnarstapi: A cute village by the sea with beautiful cliffs.
- Búðir Black Church: A black church in a lava field – great for photos.
- Ytri Tunga Beach Seals: A golden beach where we can see seals.
All day long, your Spanish-speaking guide will tell you fun and interesting stories about Iceland. We'll travel in a small group, so it's a relaxed and fun trip.
Get ready for an amazing day exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula with a Spanish-speaking guide. We'll pick you up and drop you off at your bus stop in Reykjavik.

Why this one and not the cheaper one?
The nearest cheaper Secret Lagoon Experience Ticket from VAREN Iceland is €43 — €87 less. Here is every difference we can actually measure.
| Nordur Travel Services ehf · €130 | VAREN Iceland · €43 | |
|---|---|---|
| How long it runs | 11 hours | 3 hours |

The €87 buys you 8 more hours out and hotel pickup. Whether that is worth it is your call — but that is what the difference is.

Who this is not for
- Children under 2 cannot join this one.
- Not a good fit if you want a relaxed day: 11 hours is a long time on the road, most of it spent getting there and back.

My sister and I booked a Golden Circle tour with Nordur Travel. They communicated well with us prior to the trip providing pick up details and any changes to the programme. Lara the guide was very good - friendly and informative and considered the needs of the group. I would happily recommend the company.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the Northern Lights, even though we had 2 goes at it! Each trip took us to different places, and although the forecast was apparently very good on the second attempt, we still didn’t see any, despite the enthusiasm and knowledge of both guides. Laura was the perfect guide, with her knowledge and enthusiasm. The hot chocolate drink and pastries were very welcome, and the dark skies on the second night were quite spectacular on their own!

The tour with Magda was super, she told us a lot of information about Landmannalaugar and the hike was really beautiful! Relaxing in the hot spring at the end was also very nice. All in all a great adventure 👍

Lagoons & spas — questions people ask
Is the Blue Lagoon worth it or is it too touristy?
It is busy and it is worth it, once. The water is milky blue from silica, the setting in the Reykjanes lava is unlike anywhere else, and it sits twenty minutes from Keflavík Airport, so it fits an arrival or departure day. Book a time slot in advance; it sells out. If crowds bother you, go early morning or after 20:00. The Secret Lagoon or Fontana on the Golden Circle are calmer and cheaper alternatives.
Can I do the Blue Lagoon on the way to or from the airport?
Yes, and it is the best way to use it. Transfers like IceTransfer's Keflavík to Blue Lagoon to Reykjavík (/experience/1036423/) or the reverse (/experience/1036419/) stop at the lagoon for a few hours with your luggage stored. Allow at least three hours at the lagoon and check that your slot lines up with your flight. Note that the Reykjanes eruptions have closed the lagoon at short notice; check its status before travelling.
What is the difference between the Secret Lagoon and the Blue Lagoon?
The Secret Lagoon at Flúðir is a simple, warm geothermal pool with a bubbling hot spring beside it and basic changing rooms. It is on the Golden Circle, so it slots into a sightseeing day (/experience/17050/, /experience/624446/). The Blue Lagoon is a spa: silica masks, swim-up bar, saunas and a price to match. If you want a soak after a day of waterfalls, Secret Lagoon. If you want the spa day, Blue Lagoon.
Do I have to shower naked before a pool in Iceland?
Yes, at every public pool and most lagoons. Swimwear off, wash thoroughly with soap, swimwear on, then into the water. It is a hygiene rule because Icelandic pools use very little chlorine, and it is taken seriously. Changing rooms are single-sex with open showers; some larger lagoons have a few private cubicles. Nobody looks. It feels odd for thirty seconds and then it does not.
