Private Silver Circle Day Tour with Hvammsvik Baths
by Fun Travel Iceland · private · cruise-excursion · Reykjavík

Would this be cheaper direct? No — we sell at Fun Travel Iceland's own price and take our commission from them, not from you. What you get here is one checkout across operators, one confirmation, and one place to change or cancel it. If you ever find it cheaper on their own site, tell us and we will match it or explain why we cannot.

About this experience
The tour goes from Reykjavik trough Hvalfjordur (Whalefjord) towards Borgarfjordur. First stop is at the old volcano Grabrok where it is possible to walk to the top. Then we continue to Hraunfossar (Lava waterfalls) and Barnafossar (Children’s waterfalls). Then we will visit Deildartunguhver, Europe´s watermost hot spring. Then we will end the day by unwinding at Hvammsvík Hot Springs, a unique and authentic experience in unspoiled nature away from the crowds
Description from the operator, Fun Travel Iceland. Prices and availability in the booking panel are live.
Where you go
- Reykjavik
- Borgarfjordur
- Hraunfossar Waterfall
- Deildartunguhver Hot Spring
- Hvammsvík Geothermal Baths
Good to know
The Icelandic climate is very unpredictable the whole year round thus we recommend to all our guests to bring good sturdy shoes for trekking, a warm wind and rainproof jacket and trousers, gloves or mittens, good head wear and sunglasses. And swimwear for the geothermal baths.
Cancellation for this tour
Free cancellation until 3 days before departure; no refund after that. If the operator cancels for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a new date.
If the weather cancels this tour
Iceland's weather is real. What usually stops this one is a forecast the operator judges unsafe. Here is exactly what happens to your booking.
- 1Fun Travel Iceland decides, and tells us. Operators cancel when it is unsafe or pointless, and we back that call every time — we do not ask them to run anyway.
- 2We contact you by email, and by phone if your tour is the same or next day. You choose: another date if there is one you can make, or a full refund. There is no fee and nothing to argue.
- 3The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually visible within a few working days. If this tour was one of several in your booking, the others are untouched.
What you do not get is the day back. If this is the only free day in your plan, put a spare day next to it — the planner leaves days free with the rest-day option. And if you want out because the forecast looks bad, that is your own cancellation: free until 3 days before departure, the operator's policy after that.

Sold out on your date?
Seats come back — a cancellation, or the operator adding a vehicle. Tell us the date and we will check once a day and email you if one opens. One email, then we delete the address; nothing else is ever sent to it.
Who this is not for
- Not for last-minute planners — free cancellation ends 3 days before, longer than most tours here.
- Priced per vehicle, so it is poor value for one or two people and good value for four or more sharing.
Read off the operator's own conditions. If none of it applies to you, this is a good one.
Why we list it
Fun Travel Iceland is one of 154 operators we work with — chosen for reliability, honest descriptions and how they treat guests when weather changes plans. We don't list everything; we list what we'd book ourselves. The six checks every operator passes →

I find exception with the person who complained about the funtravel van that passed them and freaked them out. We(group of 11) actually took the ring road tour in November. Most of the issues we ran into were drivers barely moving due to gawking around or being insecure in their driving abilities. The trip was amazing and very professionally done. We all had an excellent trip and would highly recommend to anyone.

🚫 Paid $10,000 expecting a tour, got a nightmare instead. The driver insulted me, snatched my dignity, and when I stood up for the truth, he physically fought me and ruined my clothes. This is a violent scam, not tourism. ⚠️💸🥋

We did not take a tour with this company however we ran into two of their buses during our two and a half weeks in iceland. The drivers or the tour buses were the most agressive drivers we encountered in all of Iceland. On both instances they were going 115 in a 90 and would approach cars aggressively tailgating with mere feet between vehicles. It was a topic of conversation with everyone we met at the next attractions following an encounter with a funtravel.is van. Remarkable what bad drivers funtravel.is seemed to employ. Based on this limited experience I do not recommend riding on a tour with them.
