If the weather cancels this tour
Iceland's weather is real. What usually stops this one is a forecast the operator judges unsafe. Here is exactly what happens to your booking.
- 1Fálkaklettur Via Ferrata decides, and tells us. Operators cancel when it is unsafe or pointless, and we back that call every time — we do not ask them to run anyway.
- 2We contact you by email, and by phone if your tour is the same or next day. You choose: another date if there is one you can make, or a full refund. There is no fee and nothing to argue.
- 3The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually visible within a few working days. If this tour was one of several in your booking, the others are untouched.
What you do not get is the day back. If this is the only free day in your plan, put a spare day next to it — the planner leaves days free with the rest-day option. And if you want out because the forecast looks bad, that is your own cancellation: free until the cutoff shown above, the operator's policy after that.

Sold out on your date?
Seats come back — a cancellation, or the operator adding a vehicle. Tell us the date and we will check once a day and email you if one opens. One email, then we delete the address; nothing else is ever sent to it.
Who this is not for
- Not for families with children under 14 — the operator will not take them, even with a parent.
- Not for anyone unsure on their feet or carrying an injury — the operator rates this as physically demanding, and there is no easy version of the day.
Read off the operator's own conditions. If none of it applies to you, this is a good one.

We had such an amazing experience doing this via ferrata! It deserves to be much more well known, and I highly recommend anyone visiting Iceland look into it as an activity. It's something unique and out of the ordinary, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Our guide was incredibly kind, welcoming, and engaging throughout the entire experience. He even offered to take photos for us, which allowed us to fully enjoy the adventure without worrying about capturing the moment ourselves. Thanks to him, we came home with beautiful pictures and unforgettable memories. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland!

Phenomenal experience. The climb was interesting and exciting as the routes are super fun. We went on a windy and drizzly day and even with those conditions we had a great time with our guide Haraldur who was also one of the ppl who built the via!

My daughter and I went together Falkaklettur together and had an amazing time. The team was awesome and helpful and we felt safe the entire time. The bridge was so cool. We will definitely do this again and bring my son and husband. I recommend this activity if you are coming to Iceland. It’s only about 15 minutes from Reykjavik.

If you are visiting Iceland, you need to add this via ferrata to your list. It is an amazing value for the price and gives you a spectacular elevated vantage point of Iceland's natural beauty. We had the privilege of getting a private tour with the owner of the company. Not only was he incredibly informative about the area, but his guiding was top-notch—he coached us through every step and ensured we always had secure footing. An unforgettable highlight!
