On everything we can measure, the BagBee tour is the better buy. The €9 is not buying anything we can point to, so unless you want this operator in particular, take the cheaper one.

  • Children under 8 cannot join this one.
  • Not the one to book if your dates might move: this operator does not refund once booked.

The wool factory tour is amazing! Great way to learn about Iceland, one of its oldest products, and how the wool economy works. Our tour guide was excellent! Highly recommend!!!!

We enjoyed the factory tour and guide immensely. Gives a wider understanding of how yarn is processed. Well worth the effort to attend a tour.

We made the short drive from Reykjavik to this factory on our first full day in Iceland and it was a great start to our trip! As an avid knitter, the main motivator for my coming to Iceland was the deep rooted history of Icelandic wool and knitting traditions. Our tour group was very small so we were able to ask as many questions as we liked and really take our time with the tour. Watching the giant machines from the 70s transform raw, washed wool into yarn was exciting and engaging. We learned about the opportunities and challenges facing the wool industry and learned all about the silly little requirements for pricing and selling wool yarn. It’s important to note than you cannot buy any yarn at this location but we picked up a handful of skeins at the Handknitters Association of Iceland to bring home. This is a great way to experience the culture of Iceland!
