Private Golden Circle Day Tour — Arctic Yeti Ehf

Would this be cheaper direct? No — we sell at Arctic Yeti Ehf's own price and take our commission from them, not from you. What you get here is one checkout across operators, one confirmation, and one place to change or cancel it. If you ever find it cheaper on their own site, tell us and we will match it or explain why we cannot.

Our take on this one

Gullfoss, Strokkur at the Geysir field and Þingvellir, driven privately with hotel pickup and drop-off. Arctic Yeti guide it in English, Spanish, Italian or German, which is rarer than it sounds, and will change the itinerary on the day if you want longer somewhere or an extra stop. Four start times between 08:00 and 11:00, so it need not eat your morning. The €1,380 is for the vehicle rather than per person. The standout term is cancellation: free up to a year ahead, where most private tours here cut off at 48 hours, so this is the one to book early if your plans are still soft.

Book it if
Groups who want the Golden Circle guided in Spanish, Italian or German, or who need to book far ahead without committing.
Skip it if
Three stops in eight hours is a relaxed day, and at €1,380 you pay private-hire rates for the most heavily served route in the country.

About this experience

Experience the wonders of Iceland's Golden Circle on a captivating journey through some of the country's most iconic natural attractions.

Our adventure begins with a visit to Gullfoss, one of Iceland's most magnificent waterfalls. Marvel at the powerful cascade as glacial waters plunge down a series of rugged cliffs, creating a spectacle of mist and rainbows. Gullfoss, or the "Golden Falls," is a testament to the raw beauty and untamed power of Icelandic nature.

Next, we'll explore the geothermal marvels of Geysir, home to the famous Strokkur geyser. Witness the earth's geothermal forces in action as Strokkur erupts, shooting boiling water high into the air at regular intervals. Surrounding Strokkur are bubbling mud pools and steaming vents, creating a surreal landscape that showcases the Earth's fiery energy.

Our journey culminates at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the historical heart of Iceland. Here, you'll walk in the footsteps of Vikings and witness the dramatic geological features of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Þingvellir is not only renowned for its stunning landscapes but also holds immense cultural significance as the site of Iceland's ancient parliament, Alþingi, founded in 930 AD.

Embark on this unforgettable adventure through Iceland's Golden Circle, where nature's power and beauty converge in a mesmerizing display.

Cancellation for this tour

Free cancellation until 365 days before departure, then 30% of the price within 7 days, rising to 50% within 4 days. If the operator cancels for weather or safety, you get a full refund or a new date.

If the weather cancels this tour

Iceland's weather is real. What usually stops this one is a forecast the operator judges unsafe. Here is exactly what happens to your booking.

  1. 1Arctic Yeti Ehf decides, and tells us. Operators cancel when it is unsafe or pointless, and we back that call every time — we do not ask them to run anyway.
  2. 2We contact you by email, and by phone if your tour is the same or next day. You choose: another date if there is one you can make, or a full refund. There is no fee and nothing to argue.
  3. 3The refund goes back to the card you paid with, through Stripe, usually visible within a few working days. If this tour was one of several in your booking, the others are untouched.

What you do not get is the day back. If this is the only free day in your plan, put a spare day next to it — the planner leaves days free with the rest-day option. And if you want out because the forecast looks bad, that is your own cancellation: free until 365 days before departure, the operator's policy after that.

Questions on the day: [email protected] · +354 497 1373. How cancellations work in Iceland →

Sold out on your date?

Seats come back — a cancellation, or the operator adding a vehicle. Tell us the date and we will check once a day and email you if one opens. One email, then we delete the address; nothing else is ever sent to it.

Who this is not for

  • Not for last-minute planners — free cancellation ends 365 days before, longer than most tours here.
  • Priced per vehicle, so it is poor value for one or two people and good value for four or more sharing.

Read off the operator's own conditions. If none of it applies to you, this is a good one.

It was our pleasure to have a tour with tour provider Arctic Yeti. Absolutely great tour to Landmannalaugar, highly recommend! Amazing, very positive, friendly and attentive to every person in the group guide Javier! The contact person on the telephone was also very helpful.

I have had consistently excellent experiences with this company, both professionally and on a personal level. Everyone I have dealt with has been kind, helpful, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. They have also shown me genuine kindness beyond what I would normally expect, which I greatly appreciate. From a professional perspective, everything has always worked smoothly, and they are dependable and pleasant to deal with. From my own personal experience, I can also say that they treat people with consideration and are willing to help when it matters. A very positive experience overall, and a company I am happy to recommend.
