The Private Monster truck Golden Circle by the original Superjeep is a private guided day tour taking you to three exceptional sights in Iceland: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area Gullfoss waterfall. This day tour offers you a chance to see and experience some of Iceland’s nature, geology and history, driving in a Ford excursion 6-door 4x4 Monster Truck for 10 passengers on 46-inch wheels ready for the mighty challenge. This tour is perfect for private group or family. In private you have the freedom to customize your itinerary to your preferences. 

After a morning pickup from your Reykjavik hotel at 8:30am, you’ll board your super jeep for an all-day adventure exploring Iceland’s exceptional sights. The Monster Truck is equipped with extra fold-down steps for easy accessibility, luxurious leather seats, air conditioning, WiFi, GPS, first-aid kit, tracker and other sorts of security equipment. Behind the wheel on the tours are experienced guides who sure know how to run such big cars in the wilderness & highways of Iceland. 

Your first stop is Thingvellir National Park where the Icelandic parliament was founded over 1000 years ago. At Thingvellir you will see how the earth is ever so slowly pulling apart along the North-America and Eurasian tectonic plates. You will be able to stand where the Viking settlers stood centuries ago. Next, you will visit the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur where you can see geysers, hot springs, steam vents and eerie blue algae. Strokkur is one of the largest and most powerful geysers and erupts almost every 5 minutes. 

The final stop of the Golden Circle takes you to Gullfoss waterfall, which many consider to be the queen of Icelandic waterfalls, as it is both high and mighty and stumbles dramatically in a deep gorge. After Gullfoss, you'll stop for lunch at Gullfoss Café which offers local flair and offers diverse options such as Icelandic meat soup, all in the midst of Gullfoss waterfall. Once lunch is complete, it’s time to try out our Super jeep vehicles off-road: the ride will take you to the highlands, rough terrain and glacier area of Langjökull (Icelandic for "long glacier"), known to be the second largest ice cap in Iceland (953 km2). You will enjoy the landscape from your Monster truck while occasionally stopping to take in the incredible sights. 

After an off-road ride, you’ll visit Faxi, a small but beautiful waterfall before driving back to Reykjavik, returning to your hotel around 5:00 pm.

    Do you know how many waterfalls Iceland has? If not, you should definitely book your tour with Erik from Superjeep.is! He has all the answers and so much more. We had an incredible day visiting breath-taking waterfalls and seeing Iceland's second largest glacier. Our trip included a stop at Efstidalur for delicious ice cream and lunch, which was a delightful surprise! Erik is extremely knowledgeable and made the experience both fun and educational.     We took private 10 seat super jeep northern lights tour with Birgir. We travelled with 3 little ones and my elderly mother. Birgir went above and beyond assisting us with car seats, ensuring everyone could get in and out of the car safely, and making everyone as comfortable as possible with his hot chocolate, entertaining Icelandic stories and history, and parking the jeep to minimize the intense winds. He was patient and knowledgeable, and we got an amazing lights show. As someone who is not easily impressed, this tour gets 10/10 hands down! Thank you super jeep and Birgir!

    Yesterday I went on one of the best tours I’ve ever experienced in Iceland, led by Erik with Superjeep. I enjoyed every second of driving through the snow in a 4x4 to visit the Katla ice cave. I live in Iceland, I’ve been on tours with various companies, and I can say that this company offers truly authentic and unique experiences in groups of just four people. The price is higher than tours for groups of 14–18 people, but the quality is infinitely superior, so it’s definitely worth the investment. Their guides are experts on the country. I thought I knew Iceland, but the lesson in Icelandic geography we had yesterday with Erik and all the stories he told us (not to mention his skilful driving in 30cm of snow) was top-notch.
